2. Customer Account and Registration
A customer account is required only for kart track usage. Registration takes place via our timing system Apex Timing (registration page). Minors may only be registered by their legal guardians, who can add the child to their own account.

Collected data:

  • First and last name

  • Date of birth (for age verification)

  • Email address

  • Username/pseudonym (for live timing, the app)

  • Optional: phone number

  • Consent to the processing of personal data and agreement to the terms and conditions

This data is necessary to ensure identification for kart track usage. Processing is based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for contract performance.

3. Online Booking System and Hosting
The booking tool (https://booking.rs-kartcenter.de/) is hosted by 1&1 IONOS and is used for handling online bookings. The website is hosted by Homepage Helden GmbH.

4. Payment Processing via Mollie
Online payments are processed by Mollie B.V., which processes payment data independently. We do not store sensitive payment information. Mollie is based in the Netherlands. 5. Email Marketing and Newsletters
Booking confirmations are sent via 1&1 IONOS, race results via Apex Timing, and marketing emails/newsletters via CleverReach. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time via the link in every email. No personalized analysis of reading behavior is conducted.

6. Contact Form, Phone, and Mail Inquiries
If you contact us via the contact form, phone, or mail, the data you provide (name, email, phone number, address, and message content) will be stored to process your inquiry. We will not share this data without your consent.

Purpose of processing: based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (contractual or pre-contractual obligations) or our legitimate interest under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Data retention: Data is stored until the purpose is fulfilled (e.g., your inquiry is resolved). Legal retention requirements remain unaffected.

Recipients of Personal Data
We cooperate with external service providers. Data is only shared if necessary for contract performance, due to legal obligations, legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), or other legal bases. Data processors only act under valid data processing agreements. In the case of joint processing, a joint controller agreement is concluded.

8. Website Analytics with Matomo
We use the open-source web analytics tool Matomo to analyze website usage. It helps us track page views, regions, log data (IP address, browser, OS), and actions (clicks, purchases, etc.).

Processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in usage analysis and marketing optimization). If consent is requested, processing is based on Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and §25(1) TDDDG. Consent can be revoked.

IP Anonymization
Your IP address is shortened before analysis to ensure anonymity.

Cookie-Free Analysis
Matomo is configured not to use cookies.

9. Plugins and Tools – Google Fonts (Local Hosting)
We use Google Fonts for consistent font rendering. Fonts are locally hosted, so no connection to Google servers is made.

10. Timing Software and App (Apex Timing)
Using the kart track requires a customer account via Apex Timing. Apex records lap times and race results for app and web display. Data is stored in a central database hosted by OVH, with short-term caching for live timing.

App usage is optional. Users can manage and view data and receive results via email upon request.

Live timing and race stats are displayed under your chosen name. You can use a pseudonym. If you register with your real name, processing is based on Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent). You may withdraw consent at any time.

Data Usage Purposes:

  • Faster future registration

  • Recording and displaying race results

  • Sending results and marketing (if agreed)

  • Contract processing and optimization

  • Transmission to Zurich Insurance plc NfD, 53287 Bonn for accident claims (only in case of damage and based on legal/contractual obligation)

Revocation and Contact
Consent can be withdrawn at any time via info@rs-kartcenter.de.

This includes:

  • Display of real name

  • Receipt of marketing or race results

  • Data storage in customer file (unless legal obligations require retention)

Withdrawal applies only to future processing. Please note that certain data may need to be retained due to legal obligations, especially for tax, accounting, or legal reasons.

Retention Periods

We may be legally required to retain certain data (e.g., for tax or legal purposes). Deletion of inactive accounts is not automatic. Upon request, data not subject to retention laws will be deleted within 30 days.

Data is shared only for contract fulfillment or legal reasons. External service providers include:

12. Security and Encryption
Our website and booking systems use SSL/TLS encryption. Customer data is technically secured against unauthorized access.

Note on Email Communication: Data transfer over the internet (especially email) may have security gaps. Do not send sensitive data unencrypted.

You may object to direct marketing at any time.

Right to Restrict Processing
You may request restriction if:
